The medical-grade silicone we use for our Furuize Cups/disc is required to be completely hypoallergenic and latex-free so there are no harmful side effects to using it in contact with your body that from Wacker in Germany. Plus, medical-grade silicone is nonporous so it is able to resist bacteria growth which is so important for menstrual cups. That being said, even though the cup material does resist bacteria growth, you do need to take certain measures to prevent TSS with any product that catches menstrual flow. These precautions include emptying and cleaning the cup regularly and making sure it is sterilized between cycles.
Raw Material Processing:
Furuize Medical Silicone mixing process: silicone is soft and has certain plasticity,We use Open mill mixing method to mix silicone.Silicone is a kind of highly active adsorption material, belongs to the amorphous substance, which contains polysiloxane, silicone oil, silica black (silica), coupling agent and filler, etc., the main component is silica. Insoluble in water and any solvent, non-toxic and tasteless, chemically stable, in addition to strong alkali, hydrofluoric acid does not react with any substance.The speed ratio of the two rollers is (1.2~1.4) ∶1, and the high speed ratio leads to faster mixing, and the low speed ratio can make the film smooth. The roller must have cooling water, and the mixing temperature should be below 40 ° C to prevent the evaporation loss of vulcanizing agent.
Production Line：
Generally our Furuize company use mould pressing to produce menstrual cups/disc,This is This is a very traditional and very widely applicable approach.The process of molding is mainly a production process formed by pressing molds in related machines, such as the production of silicone mobile phone covers, silicone ice grids, etc. The main production process is made of silicone raw materials or rubber raw materials in the closed mold cavity by heating, pressurizing and molding into products of silicone processing. Usually, the raw material is evenly stirred into the rubber by the mixer, and the mold is then moved into the vulcanization forming machine. Then the closed mold pressure, so that it is formed and cured or vulcanized, and then after stripping to obtain silicone products, this process is suitable for thermosetting materials processing.
Our Furuize factory have a total of six production lines, each production line can produce an average of 3,000 to 5,000 cups per day, equivalent to our total output of 500,000 to 900,000 cups.
Mold Workshop:
Creating mold is the mold master according to the designed programming level, completed on the company’s CNC machine tool, and some of the more difficult need to use the spark machine to manually discharge the mold. Therefore, the manufacturing of molds with relatively high technical content has a relatively long cycle. Usually, the delivery time of large mold is calculated in 20 to 30 days.
Test：
When inspecting the quality of the menstrual cups/disc, the certificate of the product and the process sheet should be checked first. The inspection certificate should be marked with the material, specifications, batch and other details of the menstrual cups/disc. The process sheet should cover every link of the production of menstrual cups/disc to ensure that the production of products meets relevant standards and regulations. At the same time, it is also necessary to check the appearance of the menstrual cups/disc to confirm whether there are no bubbles, cracks and other defects on the surface.The quality of all our products is the most important, our company has a strict quality inspection process, for all our finished products we have at least 3 times inspection process
- Light Inspection: Our Furuize company have 3 1.Under bright natural light or 40W fluorescent lamp, the standard sample or color card of the silicone product factory is placed together with the sample to be calibrated, and the visual acuity is above 1.0, and the professional without color blindness is visually inspected for 5 seconds at a distance of 30cm between the naked eye and the sample.
- Secondary inspection: Then examine each cup in its natural environment to make sure each menstrual cups/disc can be transferred to the next step.
- Quality Spot check: Mix 1 and 2 to check Sampling rate is 20%,If there are unqualified products, this batch of products will be re-checked.
Package:
For the Inspection of qualified products, packaging department according to customer requirements to packaging. Usually each bag and 10 bags per pack, or 20 bags per pack, according to customer requirements to packing.Checking before sealing the box,After the packaging is completed, the quality control department QC will recheck on the quantity,size,color,shipping label check the product model and other related quality problems, then sealing the box and send it to the warehouse for shipment.
